Antonio Macchi Cassia
Antonio Macchi Cassia, is an Italian designer recognized for his numerous award-winning works of national and international character.
His works are the result of a careful study that focuses on creativity, technological innovations and production factors, so much so that he is considered the "master of understatement".
Over the years, he has received various awards such as the first Smau Industrial Design Award, won four times, and the Compasso d'Oro Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. His creations have been included in the Permanent Collection of the MoMA in New York and in the Museum of Design at the Milan Triennale.
To date, the Macchi Cassia studio is located in the Milan office, run by the daughter who handed down the teachings of her father. Antonio was a lecturer at the Politecnico di Milano and is considered a designer outside the box for his continuous research in donating design to everyday objects.
