Bernhard Osann
Industrial designer Bernhard Osann was born in 1979 in Ausburg in Bavaria. Before starting his studies in design he started from the School for Wood and Design in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in the meantime doing small jobs as a carpenter and freelance in the sector for several years. In 2005 he began studying sculpture at the Wilhelm Wagenfeld School in Bremen and then continued with industrial design at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg, from which he graduated in 2016. From that moment on he has always worked as a designer focusing mainly on lighting and real estate projects. Bernhard designed table lamps such as Bird, Neo and Untitled for Nemo Lighting, where the structures, with a thin stem, create a perfect balance between elements and the stability of the support. For the designer, the balance between moving elements has top priority. Thanks to the creation of the Neo lamp he managed to win the Wallpaper Design Award in 2020. As of today he is among the most recognized German designers of this period.
