Gilles Derain
Gilles Derain, is a French designer with a creative flair that ranges in various sectors from objects such as furniture to carpets, lamps and jewelery. He was one of the first to follow the movement "Union des artistes modernes", a movement operating between 1928 and 1958 and which later became part of the international modern movement. At the end of the '70s, Gilles Derain was co-founder of Lumen Center Italia, playing the role of artistic director. In 1979 he designed the MCP lamp (Merci Pierre Chareau) and was immediately a great commercial success so as to be included in the collection of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Montreal. For Lumen Center Italia, Gilles Derain has signed numerous other collections of lamps such as: "Omega", "Torchère", "Trylon", "Eagle, metal lamps available in the version applique led, led floor lamps and table lamps.
