Giovanni Luigi Gorgoni
Giovanni Luigi Gorgoni is an Italian architect active in multiple fields: from architecture, to urban planning, to urban furniture up to product design. He graduated in architecture from the Polytechnic of Milan and was a student of important designers such as Gio Ponti, Ernesto Nathan Rogers and Vittorio Gregotti. Giovanni Luigi Gorgoni has worked for both private clients and companies and for public administrations, governments and international organizations. Numerous are the projects he has created around the world and which bear his signature. In 2007 he received the VIA award from the French Industries and Design Association. For the Stilnovo brand he created the Buonanotte table lamp. This lamp was originally designed as a bedside lamp. In reality it is an ideal piece of furniture to illuminate any environment. Buonanotte consists of a luminous sphere and two quarter-shaped caps that rotate around it. The latter can be manually oriented to change the brightness.
