Zanini De Zanine
Zanini de Zanine was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1978. During his first years of apprenticeship in Sergio Rodriguez's studio he created his first piece of furniture. Graduating in Industrial Design, since 2003 he has been making wooden furniture defined as “Contemporary Carpentry” because they are created with salvaged pieces from columns, beams and remains of houses. Since 2005, his industrial production has been based on the use of materials such as wood of controlled origin or plastic, acrylics, metals and pieces of manufactured products. He was selected as designer of the year in 2015 by Maison & Objets Americas. After the foundation of the “Studio Zanini” in 2011, he managed to obtain prestigious awards and recognitions from all over the world. His greatest inspiration was his father, with whom as a child he spent a lot of time observing him while he worked on his works of sculpture and architecture. For SLAMP he designed the Flora collection, inspired by nature and flowers. Today, being highly recognized, he designs for many prestigious international brands.
