Artemide - Vitruvio SP - Glass design chandelier

Vitruvio is a suspension lamp in which mechanical intelligence becomes aesthetic, the central elements of the project are the thin structure and the blown glass diffuser. Glass and structure are two free elements, blocked only by a simple, easily reversible mechanical gesture. Thanks to a mechanism inspired by watchmaking, three metal rods have been inserted that open inside the diffuser allowing it to be supported. The diffuser is obtained from a single process, the glass is blown with a shape dictated by an optical intelligence and the horizontal lines in relief prevent direct vision of the source, limiting glare and diffusing the light more evenly.
