Formfjord

Formfjord is a Berlin-based design studio founded in 2006 by designers Fabian Baumann and Sönke Hoof. Fabian studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and later Industrial Design Engineering at the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands. Sönke after a first period as an upholsterer apprentice, he attended the studies in Product Design at the University of the Arts in Berlin and then the Design School of Nantes in France. Today he is a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences of Hanover. The Formfjord studio develops projects for international clients such as Serien Lighting, Stelton, Magazin, Mono, Nemo / Cassina, Leonardo, Lightyears and many others. It operates in various sectors from lighting to furniture thanks to a well-assorted team of designers and engineers. the Fabbian brand creates Giro suspension lamps with large, sculptural and light dimensions. These modern lamps are composed of 32 rings of various diameters. i assembled to form a sphere. Ideal for decorating modern and contemporary environments.
