Alexander Bellman

Alexander Bellman is a Milanese designer, graduated in Architecture from the Milan Polytechnic and specialized in the lighting design sector, recognized internationally. In 2003 he founded Gruppo C14 in Milan, an architecture studio made up of architects, graphic designers and designers. designs custom-made solutions and works in the retail, hospitality and exhibit fields. In addition to the competitions won as lighting consultant for Torre Generali, Torre Gioia 22 and Piazza Gae Aulenti, Bellman gets the prize for the best intervention in the in the field of technological innovation at the international conference EVA 2001 Florence, for the lighting calculation models for the Milan Cathedral and Piazza della Scala. Bellman taught at the Faculty of Architecture of the Politecnico di Milano and the L.U.N.A. of Bologna. He has also collaborated with international artists, curating their exhibitions at the Palazzo Reale, the Castello Sforzesco, and the Milan Triennale or, Isola Madre on Lake Maggiore and the Natural History Museum. The firm's client companies include Loropiana, Mondadori, Deutsche Bank, Samsung, Tod's, Pomellato, Tiscali, Nielsen, Luxottica, Autogrill, Canali, Hines, Coima, Vacheron Constantin and Illy. For Artemide brand Bellman designs the Nottola suspension lamp for outdoors. It is a modern lantern characterized by a metal structure that encloses the lighting body, suitable for illuminating buildings of contemporary architecture but also more traditional spaces.
