Prospero Rasulo

Prospero Rasulo is an Italian designer, active in numerous fields from product design to pictorial and plastic arts, to the design of installations. Originally from Stigliano di Matera, Rasulo moved to Milan at a very young age where he graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. He began his professional career in the 1980s, first collaborating with the Alchimia studio and with Alessandro Mendini. In this period he divides his commitment between the planning and promotion of cultural initiatives. In 1987 he opened his own studio which he called Oxido and which also became a brand of furniture and furnishing accessories. There are numerous collaborations with prominent companies such as Foscarini, Zannotta, Poltronova, FIAM, Gessi and many others. For Fabbian he designs the Bijou collection of modern lamps. It consists of chandeliers and floor lamps characterized by a teardrop diffuser, to which are added the square-shaped appliques to emphasize their chic minimalism. These are elegant lamps suitable for furnishing various non-domestic spaces. Available in multiple finishes in white, black and polished chrome.
