Naoto Fukasawa was born in Yamanashi in 1956 and graduated in industrial design at Tama Art University. At the beginning of the nineties he moved to the United States and joined the IDE design, devoting himself to the design of computers, electronic components, medical devices, furniture. In 1996 he returned to Japan to build the headquarters of the IDEO in Tokyo, becoming the manager.
Currently, Naoto Fukasawa lives in Tokyo, where he opened her own design studio and collaborates with companies from all over the world. Naoto Fukasawa also performs academic activity at Musashino Art University and Tama Art University, and has received numerous awards and recognitions.
Fukasawa designs "Demetra" table lamps for Artemide, ideal for lighting environments such as offices, desks and work places. The "Demetra" lamps are also available in the spotlight and floor lamp versions, the minimalist design conceals a great technology, the enhanced Led makes it possible to obtain a greater amount of light on the worktop with a high color rendering without the lamp head reaching high temperatures such as to compromise the functionality that derives from the gestures and direct interaction with the lamp.
