Vicente Garcia Jimenez is a Spanish designer born in Valencia in 1978. Garcìa Jiménez graduated in Technical Engineering with Industrial Design at the University of Experimental Sciences of Castellon de la Plana, then he moved to Barcelona and began the development of products of design for lighting and furniture, experimenting with the first prototypes. Later he moved to Udine where he opened his own design studio and collaborated with numerous companies in the field of lighting, furniture and fittings. Vicente Garcia Jimenez takes part in various exhibitions in Europe, China and Japan and receives important prizes and awards including the honorable mention at the XXII Compasso D’Oro, Designer’s Saturday 2008, Elle Decor Young Talent Designer 2009, ADI Design Index 2010, Elle Decor Designer of the Year 2011. For Foscarini Garcia Jimenez designed the modern lamps Le Soleil, distinguished by a lampshade composed of oblique bands made of polycarbonate that leave space for the passage of light creating a bright graphic effect in the room.
