Pellegrini+Mengato Design
Davide Pellegrini and Francesca Mengato are two young designers with degrees in architecture from the IUAV in Venice. They begin their professional career by collaborating with various architectural firms and as a freelance. Both initially engaged in architectural and urban projects, later specializing in design projects. Davide Pellegrini experiments with materials such as wood, cardboard, metal nets, plastics. Francesca Mengato instead develops ideas and prototypes of various kinds, ranging from design, to graphics, to interior architecture. This mix of skills leads them to collaborate together in the development of design projects. For Fabbian they sign Glu lamps. These are suspension and wall lamps with a particular geometry, created with laser cutting on a thin aluminum disc. The contrast between empty and full emphasizes the direct emission of light. Particularly suitable for lighting modern style environments.
