Tord Boontje
Tord Boontje is a designer who has been able to create a perfect alchemy between romanticism and contemporaneity for his design projects. With extravagant and ironic projects, he manages to arouse intense emotions. Originally from the Netherlands, he studied at the Eindhoven Academy of Design and the Royal College of Art in London, before founding Studio Tord Boontje in 1996. Since then, the studio has collaborated with international companies on a wide range of products, from lamps to ceramics, passing through fabrics, installations and pieces of furniture. His work has been exhibited in some of the most important international collections, such as the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the MoMA in New York. With her creative and independent working method, Boontje continuously stimulates existing relationships and creates new ones, always launching new collections. For Foscarini he designed the Sun Light of Love suspension lamp, an explosion of style and light. With its 390 metal spokes grafted onto a central body, this modern chandelier is a true work of art. Available in two color finishes, matt gold and matt white, this suspension lamp can be used alone to illuminate your living room or in a composition for large commercial spaces.
