Mario Bellini
Mario Bellini is one of the most famous architects and designers in the world, with a wide range of iconic projects and prestigious awards in his curriculum. With eight Compasso d'Oro Awards and 25 works in the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York, Bellini has been an important design figure for decades. Furthermore, he has served as editor of Domus magazine, organized numerous art and architecture exhibitions and designed many iconic buildings around the world. His best-known projects include the Portello district of Fiera Milano, the Tokyo Design Center in Japan, Natuzzi's America Headquarters in the United States, the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne and the Museum of History of the City of Bologna. Recently, he completed the T3 international Airterminal at Rome-Fiumicino airport and inaugurated the new Headquarters of Generali Group in Trieste. He is currently working on various projects, including the New Polytechnic School of Genoa, a vast hotel and residential facility on Virgin Gorda Island in the British Virgin Islands and the new RAI headquarters in Milan. Bellini is not only an architect and building designer. He has also worked on the design of products such as the Nuvola and Nuvola Minor family of pendant and wall/ceiling lamps for Nemo Lighting. Nuvola is made of rotomoulded opal natural polyethylene, while Nuvola Minor is made of thermoformed PETG. Both lamps emit a diffused and comfortable light, and all versions are dimmable.
