After working for many years in the furniture sector, Mikko decided to set up his own studio in 2004, offering product design services mainly on everyday items. His projects are exhibited in various international exhibitions, and he can count a number of international and national awards such as the Reddot design award (2012) or Muuuz International award (2014) or more recently the Turkey design award (2016) and the German design award (2017). The Studio Mikko Laakkonen believes that each project is different and strives to find a tailor-made solution that combines the customer's needs with their design expertise. Their goal is to create unique and penetrating objects for everyday use.
