Massimo Sacconi is an Italian designer specialising in lighting technology. He graduated in architecture in Florence in 1981. Between 1996 and 2000 he was technical manager of the laboratory of electrical measurements at the company "Servizi & Qualità Toscana SRL" that carries out safety inspections on lighting equipment. In 2001 he took part as technical director and design coordinator in the establishment of the Engineering Company, Industrial Design Progetti S.R.L. in Florence. In 2003 he collaborated with the University of Genoa on software for motorway lighting design, for Autostrade per l'Italia S.p.a. where he worked as a lighting engineer. In 2007 he won the Innovation & Design Award with the product Q3Pro by AEC Illuminazione. For Artemide he designs Aria Micro and Mini spotlights that can be installed both on the wall and on the ceiling using high performance LED sources.
