Jozeph Forakis is a world-renowned designer, known for the innovative use of materials and processes. Son of artists, Forakis founded in 2002 his design studio, based in Milan and New York, operating in various sectors with established international clients including Epson, Fujitsu, Samsung, LG Electronics, Normann Copenhagen, Kikkerland, Magis, Swarovski, Tecno, Yamaha Motors. Jozeph Forakis is the author of some of the most successful design products of the last decades: including the Havana lamp, inserted in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and that in competition to make Foscarini a global producer in field of contemporary lighting. Other noteworthy projects are the SPECTRE lounge chair by Dune NY, the mouse for computers Logitech Cordless Mouseman Pro, the Swatch Irony Scuba 200 watch, the Motorola V.70 mobile phone. His projects have won numerous awards and have been published in numerous magazines, exhibited in numerous international galleries and museums including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, the Tokyo Gas showroom in Japan and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). In 2004 he was the protagonist of the first personal exhibition organized by the Italian Design Association, presented in Rome and in New York.
