Francesco Faccin
Francesco Faccin, Italian designer, sees design as a powerful means to understand and change the world. With a career that spans from industrial design to artisanal art, from self-production to social planning, Faccin uses his talent to connect fields and different disciplines. With academic training and extensive professional experience, Faccin has worked with some of the biggest names in Italian design, including Enzo Mari and Michele De Lucchi. In 2013 he was selected as ""Italian Fellow" at the American Academy in Rome and in 2010 he won the Design Report Award. In 2015, his project "Traverso" was awarded an honorable mention at the Compasso D'Oro. In 2015, Faccin presented "Honey Factory", a microarchitecture for urban beekeeping which was selected by the United Nations as a lead project for the 17 Global Goals. In 2020, he was asked to design the scenography of the exhibition ""Regina. Della scul-tura" for the GAMeC museum and has started a collaboration with Naturasì for the creation of a new store format. In addition to working with Italian and international clients, Faccin is also an acclaimed lecturer, teaching at the Free University of Bolzano, at the Made Program in Syracuse and at the Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona. In 2019, Icon Design included him among the 100 most influential personalities selected in various creative fields.
