Gerhard Reichert
Gerhard Reichert was born in 1962 in Ravensburg, Germany. After graduating in mechanical engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Weingarten, he continued his studies at the SADK in Stuttgart, where he graduated in integral design in 1993. During his studies he started working for Siemens Design Centre, while between 1993 and 1997 he worked as project manager at MH Design Engineering in Switzerland and Germany. From 1997 to 2004 he lived in Milan, where he was project manager for the studio of the famous designer and architect De Lucchi. In 2004 he founded his own studio "Reichert Design" and was appointed professor of design at the University of Applied Sciences in Aachen. Since 2007 he has been a member of the Faculty of Applied Sciences Schwäbisch Gmünd, of which he is head of department and professor of Industrial Design. In addition to teaching, Reichert collaborates with numerous national and international companies for which he develops innovative projects that combine utilitarian and ecological functions. Over the years Reichert's works have received numerous awards.
