Marco Zito was born in Treviso in 1966, he graduated in architecture at the IUAV of Venice in 1994. He took his first steps in the design world in Murano, working for the Salviati furnace, where he explores the techniques of blown glass processing. He founded his own design studio in Venice, dealing mainly with architectural projects, installations and product design. Zito collaborates with the most important Italian companies such as Foscarini, Agape, Olivetti, Plust, Coin, Lavazza, Electrolux, Casamania, Gruppo Danieli, Fila, Viabizzuno, De Castelli, Bosa, Saba, Falmec, Maison 203, Mingardo, Gruppo Frezza. His projects receive prestigious awards and international awards. Marco Zito is an associate professor of industrial product design at the IUAV University of Venice and also conducts training in many other universities around the world. For Foscarini, the designer Zito signs the Caiigo suspension lamp a handmade product created by the skill of the Venetian master glassmakers, which is characterized by the shade of the diffuser that brings to mind the mist that rises above the lagoon.
