Mimmo Paladino
Mimmo Paladino was born in Paduli (BN) in 1948. After training in the Naples area in conceptual expression, he returned to painting and sculpture at the end of the '70s. In 1980 he exhibited in the Open section of the Venice Biennale, launching the Transavantgarde group on the international scene. Since that date, he has had a large presence at international exhibitions, such as for example: Bienniale in San Paolo, Brazil, Ljubljana, Tate Gallery, London, Paris Bienniale, Mirò Foundation, Barcelona National Museum, Beijing, Forte belvedere, Florence and Musée Royale des Beaux Arts, Brussels. Numerous personal exhibitions have been held in both public museums and private galleries around the world. In 2006 he made his début in the film industry with a feature film, Quijote, which screened at the Venice Film Festival.
